I had gotten a question on tumblr saying :
"In the art dump with nana you said she stopped olly from being adopted but what would he have been like if he was adopted?"
so I drew this up really quick ^ U ^
I totally believe the people you're raised by and the environment you're in as a kid shape the person you become
it's a running theme in all my characters: Veruca is possessive because her father was taken from her Olly is clingy and aloof both because his mother never showed affection towards him, Janis lives the kind of life she lives and gets involved with bad people because she has low self worth after her father committed suicide had the event in their lives changed they'd be different people

if Nana let Janis give olly up for adoption I think he would still be kinda goofy! lol definitely wouldn’t be a alcoholic, he would be more concerned about school getting good grades, might have been involved in band or art? ( I can’t see him doing sports haha) I think he would be really close with his adoptive parents and know he had a troubled teen mom and would want to grow up to be a counselor or social worker to help kids like her or kids in situations he could’ve been in. I think being in a loving supportive family he would have grown up to be more confident in himself and wouldn’t feel the need to cover up the spots on his face. He would have shorter hair :’[ no criminal record probably would be scared to even get a ticket. Cooks with his mom and works at his dads Italian deli ( flirtin with the ladies over the counter when dads not looking u w u )
